With Restoration Family Therapy, LLC.
the therapy process is simple!
The entirety of services are 100% online. When you call to set up an appointment you will get a 30 minute free consultation so we can go over my professional policies and procedures. I use an electronic medical records service called Simple Practice so you will receive a welcome email with a few forms to fill out and sign with an electric signature that will automatically be uploaded to your client portal where all communication is private in order to comply with HIPPA regulations. You will get a link for your Telehealth sessions prior to your appointment. You will just need to make sure you have a device that has a camera and microphone and an updated version of Chrome or Firefox browsers and you are ready to get started!
I take a solution focused, family systems approach to therapy meaning that there is not one person identified as “the problem”. All family members contribute to the conflict in some way and therefore all individuals are responsible for helping to find solutions. Family therapy services are considered brief, usually lasting between 12 and 20 sessions. Although I may only typically serve a family for three to five months in most cases, I’ve learned that the incredible resiliency of the families I’ve worked with in the past stays with me for years. My professional experience has taught me that people in many ways are similar, however I strive to treat each individual with the respect they deserve and meet them where they are on their unique path.
I enjoy working with INDIVIDUALS to better manage mood disorders such as anxiety and depression, anger management, and grief issues. I use a wholistic mind and body approach so if you are currently taking psychotropic medications for mood regulation or are considering medication, I seek to collaborate services with your other preferred local healthcare professionals to make sure you get quality continuity of care. I have had experience working with TEENS on adolescent behavior and parenting issues. I have helped COUPLES to increase their communication skills to be better understood and to better understand the other to find mutually satisfying solutions and increase empathy that maybe was once there originally but has been lost overtime as bitterness has crept in. I have a special passion for serving military VETERANS and their families. Both of my grandfathers, my father and my husband are veterans and I have experienced deployment, multiple relocations and the stressors that come along with life dedicated to military service.
